The HP 640 has good features and great speed, but some users found it too small for their needs.
There are 27 customer reviews at the time of writing, with an average rating of 3.4 stars out of a possible 5 on Amazon. While most customers were satisfied with the product overall, there were several points that irked them as well:
1) “It is not heavy enough to be stable when you walk into your office … I really wanted something more robust than this machine”; 2) “I am unhappy about how noisy it is in comparison to my old fax-machine”; 3) It also takes up space so can only fit one line in a document tray which means if someone sends you multiple documents they need to split between two trays
You could have sent it all together…. 4); finally 5) The documentation said “Simultaneous Fax & Data Port” was included although many users couldn’t use the feature because their computers didn’t recognize incoming data or outgoing faxes.
If these negatives don’t bother you then this may be worth checking out as it’s still quite cheap compared to other models available today (from £271). But keep in mind that there are better options available
